Terry was born in Ironton, Ohio and got his first drum at age 5. He was raised on Motown/Soul Music, Surf Music and Old Country. When he was 12 he was given his first Rock 8-Track......RUSH "Moving Pictures"...... and his life was forever changed. He spent his years of middle school and high school playing Symphonic Band, Marching Band, and Jazz Band. He joined his first band in his freshman year of high school so SYRINIX was to be his only band for 12 years. Playing clubs and touring would be his passion. They opened for national acts such as WAR, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Dixie All-Stars (former members of Blackfoot and Molly Hatchet) Godsmack, Second Coming, Shades Apart just to name a few. They released 2 Cds...(1997) Lifesongs (2000) 2000 but personal differences busted the band up in 2000. He then joined The Convertible Blondes, a well established POP Rock Cover Band, recorded 1 album and toured extensively including Australia in 2004. After hearing of The Hiwatts needing a drummer, he set up an audition, jammed with the boyz and the position was "sealed."
Terry met Candlebox in 98 on their Happy Pills Tour @ XFEST in Huntington, WV and kept in contact w/Kevin ever since. When the opportunity opened for a drummer for The Hiwatts, he couldn't help giving it a Shot! The first day of jammin' found him in a room with 4 guys he'd never played a note with. The GROOVE was on! "I'm so anxious to get out LIVE with these guys and create some great music! We'll be a force to be reckoned with!"
