Space was born in Brisbane, Australia and spent most of childhood bashing away on an acoustic guitar that his uncle found in the back seat of a cab. After playing in many bands in his hometown off the Gold Coast, Space moved from the small 'everyone knows everyone' community to Los Angeles in April 2001.
Sleeping on the floor of the studio which his band 'memento' and Kevin Martin were sharing, Space started writing with Kevin. 'If We Could' & 'Telepathic Rock and Roll' were two of the three songs that Space co-wrote with Kevin.
After releasing their debut in 2003 and touring festivals such as Ozzfest, memento called it quits. The rest is slightly shady in detail. Space went missing for several months until Kevin's neighbor noticed cries for help coming from underneath the house. Space had been gagged and bound with only his hands free to play guitar on new HiWatts songs. The Hiwatts agreed to untie Space only if he would make regular appearances to contribute.
Space now sleeps in his own bed.
Space resides in Los Angeles, California where his eclectic style of music comprises influences such as Jeff Buckley, Massive Attack, Sigur Ros, Air, The Dissociatives, Jimi Hendrix, Frou Frou, Shihad, Silverchair and whatever seems to linger within his head. Predominantly a guitarist, Space also sings, plays bass and tickles keys.
Cabernet Sauvignon & American Spirits Lights are his drugs of choice.
